Skyler Sequoia

Owner

Skyler Sequoia is the owner of Flowstate Martial Arts — a full-time electrician, lifelong martial artist, and professional fighter.

He's also a husband and father of two, and lives on a farm with his family. Flowstate is the gym he always wanted to train in: hard work, real technique, and a community that shows up for each other.

The striking program

Flowstate Martial Arts striking program blends traditional martial arts with modern grit, inspired by backgrounds such as Muay Thai, Dutch kickboxing, Kyokushin karate, and modern striking.

Our program is defined by the camaraderie we have built amongst our core long-term members, and that is what truly defines the community we have built. Our members have remained together through many versions of our gym, but our bond and love for the program has remained steadfast in our pursuit of bettering our martial arts skills, ourselves, and each other.

Here at Flowstate Martial Arts, we value community above all else, and work hard to be inclusive and teach with an excitement that is truly unique to us. Whether you are an experienced martial artist looking to compete, a parent looking for a quick escape, a person wanting to learn to defend themselves, on a weight loss journey, or simply looking for a new hobby — Flowstate Martial Arts has a way to cater to you and your goals.

We strive to be the diamond in the rough, the mom and pop shop, the underdog, the safe space for the bullied kids — a martial arts experience that feels as deep and personal to you as it does to us.
